        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  UIS  men's  basketball  team  won  its  second  game  of  the  2024-25  season  on  Sunday  afternoon,  defeating  Wisconsin-Parkside  60-43  at  the  Midwest  Regional  Crossover.  UIS  improves  to  2-0,  while  Parkside  falls  to  0-2.

Head  coach  Matt  Brock  was  pleased  with  the  win,  saying,  "We  are  playing  strong  and  physical.  43  points  from  a  team  who  beat  us  last  year  is  a  good  defensive  performance  for  us.  Offensively,  we  can  and  will  do  better.  Overall,  good  weekend  for  us!"

The  Prairie  Stars  improve  to  17-8  overall  and  7-4  in  GLVC  play,  while  the  Tritons  drop  to  17-7  and  6-5  in  conference.  With  the  win,  UIS  has  secured  its  spot  in  the  GLVC  Tournament.</div>

With  the  win,  the  Prairie  Stars  improved  to  16-8 overall  with  a  6-4 record  in  the  GLVC.  The  Bearcats  drop  to  9-14  overall  with  a  4-6  conference  record.
