        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  UIS  women's  golf  team  turned  in  an  improved  performance  on  Tuesday  during  the  second  round  of  the  NCAA  Division  II  East  Regional  at  The  Meadows  Golf  Course,  trimming  eight  strokes  off  its  opening  round  score.</div>

The  Prairie  Stars  combined  for  a  team  score  of  327  on  Monday.</div>

Chancellor  Janet  L.  Gooch  and  Provost  and  Vice  Chancellor  for  Academic  Affairs  Brandon  E.  Schwab  presided  over  the  annual  event,  which  recognizes  excellence  in  teaching,  service,  scholarship  and  community  engagement.</div>

UIS  Athletics  hosted  its  annual Night  of  Stars banquet  on  Monday,  April  28, in  the  Student  Union  Ballroom,  celebrating  the  2024–25  athletic  year  and  presenting 12  major  departmental  awards  along  with two  team  awards  per  sport.

More  than  250  Prairie  Stars  student-athletes,  coaches,  and  staff  members  gathered  to  recognize  the  excellence,  leadership,  character,  and  academic  achievement  that  define  the  UIS  athletics  experience.
