It's Youth  Day,  with  a  special  invitation  to  the  community  to  enjoy  a  college  basketball  experience.  Fans  18  and  under  will  be  admitted  for  free  on  this  special  day,  and  youth  attendees  can  pick  up  a  free  bag  of  popcorn  to  enjoy  during  the  game.</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  UIS  women's  basketball  team  defeated  Truman  State  at  TRAC  on  Friday  night,  73-50,  extending  their  winning  streak  to  three  games.  UIS  improved  to  3-11  overall  and  2-4  in  GLVC  play,  while  Truman  State  fell  to  5-10  overall  and  2-3  in  the  conference.</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  University  of  Illinois  Springfield  student-athletes  have  set  a  new  benchmark  for  academic  achievement,  earning  a  department  GPA  of  3.59  for  the  Fall  2024  semester.  This  marks  the  highest  GPA  in  the  history  of  the  department,  surpassing  the  impressive  3.56  GPA  achieved  in  Spring  2024.</div>
