Dear Faculty and Staff,
Please join me and other members of the Chancellor’s Cabinet at the Fall Employee Information Session, beginning at 3 p.m. Oct. 16 in Brookens Auditorium. During this session, you will hear from me and vice chancellors Vickie Cook and Ken Kriz about our university’s priorities and strategic initiatives, including enrollment and budget.
Following the presentation, we will open the floor for a Q&A. I hope you can join us for this important conversation. If you cannot attend, a recording will be available at a later date.
A Journey from Art to AI and Mathematical Modeling
Congratulations to Chris Denq! His paper, "Hempel and the Raven Paradox," has been accepted by Ephemeris, an undergraduate Philosophy journal published by the Union College! It will appear in the 2024 edition of the journal. Chris's paper is among the three that were accepted from a total of 35 submissions.
UIS Rallies to 4-3 Victory Over Drury
In a thrilling showdown in Springfield, Mo., on Sunday, the UIS men's soccer team mounted an impressive comeback to secure a dramatic 4-3 victory over Drury. UIS improves to 4-3-2 overall and 4-1-2 in GLVC play, while Drury drops to 3-3-4 overall and 1-3-3 in the conference after first home loss of the season.
