        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  Office  of  Strategic  Communications  will  host  two&nbsp;Open&nbsp;Photo&nbsp;Studio&nbsp;sessions  for  Spring  2025  for  all  staff  or  faculty.  The  photos  can  be  used  for  university  purposes  such  as  department  websites,  campus  directories,  speaking  engagements  at  conferences,  etc.  Any  staff  or  faculty  member  who  either  hasn’t  had  their  portrait  taken  or  would  like  another,  more  recent,  portrait  taken  is  encouraged  to  attend.



The  Strategic  Communications  photo&nbsp;studio&nbsp;is  in  the  Business  Services  Building,  Room  95  (BSB  95).  </div>

UIS  was  selected  as  the  site  for  the  NCAA  Division  II  Men's  Basketball  Midwest  Regional  this  weekend.  UIS  has  worked  in  partnership  with  Visit  Springfield  and  Missouri  S&amp;T  to  plan  to  host  the  eight-team  event.</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">UIS  Track  &amp;  Field  junior Madelyn  Miller has  been  named  a USTFCCCA  All-Region honoree  in  the 5,000  meters for  the 2025  NCAA  Division  II  Indoor  Track  &amp;  Field  season,  as  announced  by  the U.S.  Track  &amp;  Field  and  Cross  Country  Coaches  Association  (USTFCCCA) on  Tuesday.

Miller  earned  the  recognition  by  finishing  among  the top  five  individuals  in  the  Midwest  Region in  the  event.  She  secured  her  spot  with  a  school  record  time  of 16:37.46 at  the GVSU  Big  Meet on February  14,  2025.</div>
