        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  Office  of  Strategic  Communications  will  host  two&nbsp;Open&nbsp;Photo&nbsp;Studio&nbsp;sessions  for  Spring  2025  for  all  staff  or  faculty.  The  photos  can  be  used  for  university  purposes  such  as  department  websites,  campus  directories,  speaking  engagements  at  conferences,  etc.  Any  staff  or  faculty  member  who  either  hasn’t  had  their  portrait  taken  or  would  like  another,  more  recent,  portrait  taken  is  encouraged  to  attend.



The  Strategic  Communications  photo&nbsp;studio&nbsp;is  in  the  Business  Services  Building,  Room  95  (BSB  95).  </div>

UIS  was  selected  as  the  site  for  the  NCAA  Division  II  Men's  Basketball  Midwest  Regional  this  weekend.  UIS  has  worked  in  partnership  with  Visit  Springfield  and  Missouri  S&amp;T  to  plan  to  host  the  eight-team  event.</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  Illinois  Springfield  women's  tennis  team  will  look  to  secure  its  first  win  of  the  season  when  it  travels  to  Griffith,  Ind.,  to  face  Purdue  Northwest  at  12:00  p.m.  on  Friday.

The  Prairie  Stars  are  coming  off  a  4-1  loss  to  Hillsdale  on  Feb.  23  and  aim  to  find  momentum  before  conference  play  begins  in  April.</div>

The  UIS men's  tennis  team  looks  to  pick  up  its  first  win  of  the  season  when  it  takes  on  Purdue  Northwest at  12  p.m.  on  Friday  in  Griffith,  Ind.

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">Madelyn  Miller,  a  junior  on  the  UIS  track  &amp;  field  team,  secured  Second  Team  All-America  honors  with  a  10th-place  finish  in  the  5,000-meter  run  at  the  NCAA  Division  II  Indoor  Track  &amp;  Field  Championships  on  Thursday,  marking  her  first  national  championship  appearance  and  earning  All-America  status  in  her  debut.

Miller  ran  16:38.16,  finishing  within  a  second  of  her  personal  best  and  edging  out  athletes  from  the  University  of  Mary  and  Grand  Valley  State.</div>
