        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  University  of  Illinois  system  is  the  latest  to  require  COVID  booster  shots  to  be  on  campus.



University  President  Tim  Killeen  announced  today  (Thursday)  faculty,  staff  and  students  will  need  to  get  the  shots  when  eligible.



At  Springfield,  in-person  classes  will  take  place,  although  faculty  will  be  allowed  some  flexibility  to  request  remote  teaching.</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">James  Ileka  of  Chicago,  a  senior  at  Morgan  Park  High  School,  has  been  admitted  to  the  University  of  Illinois  Springfield  for  Fall  Semester  2022  and  awarded  a  $24,000  Lincoln  Merit  Scholarship  for  tuition  over  four  years.  At  UIS,  he  will  major  in  computer  science.



The  scholarship  is  awarded  based  on  high  school  GPA  and  can  be  renewed  for  a  total  of  four  years  if  the  student  maintains  college  GPA  requirements.</div>
