I hope your semester is off to a good start and that you have enjoyed meeting new students and colleagues and reconnecting with others. The beautiful weather has provided a wonderful backdrop for the flurry of activity around the start of the new academic year.
F&S Update - Crane for Roof Work on FRH And LRH
The roofing contractor will have a crane on site again on Thursday morning, August 28, from approximately 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The crane will be positioned on the west side of Founders Residence Hall, just off Eliza Farnham Drive. The bus stop on that corner will remain open and accessible. The red rectangle on the included image indicates the approximate location for the crane.
Please use caution if you need to travel near the residence hall. Construction zones and equipment placement areas will be marked to assist with navigation and ensure safety.

UIS Men’s Cross Country Positioned Third in GLVC Preseason Poll
The UIS men's cross country team has been ranked third of 12 teams in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) preseason coaches' poll for the fall 2025 season. This recognition positions UIS among the top contenders in the conference as they prepare to embark on a promising season.
