SPRINGFIELD,  IL  (December  14,  2020)  –  UIS  Speech  and  Debate  participated  in  their  final  tournament  of  the  semester  during  finals  week.  The  Online  Asynchronous  Tournament  Series  (OATS)  first  tournament  was  hosted  by  Southwest  Minnesota  State  University  in  Marshall,  MN.  This  tournament  was  the  team’s  fifth  virtual  competition  of  the  semester.</div>

SPRINGFIELD,  IL  (February  15,  2021)  –  The  UIS  Speech  and  Debate  Team  achieved  some  excellent  scores  in  their  first  competition  of  the  spring  semester.  The  competition  was  hosted  by  Southwest  Minnesota  State  University  as  part  of  the  Online  Asynchronous  Tournament  Series  (OATS).</div>

SPRINGFIELD,  IL  (March  1,  2021)  –  The  UIS  Speech  and  Debate  Team  took  part  in  the  second  asynchronous  competition  of  the  semester.  This  competition  was  the  sixth  iteration  of  the  OATS  (Online  Asynchronous  Tournament  Series)  Tournament  Series  and  was  hosted  by  Ball  State  University.</div>

SPRINGFIELD,  IL  (March  30,  2021)  –  The  UIS  Speech  and  Debate  team  has  been  participating  in  the  Online  Asynchronous  Tournament  Series  (OATS)  this  season.  These  tournaments  offer  consistent,  asynchronous  tournament  experiences  against  teams  from  across  the  nation.  Over  the  past  week,  sophomore  Lisette  Cortes-Benitez  entered  the  seventh  and  final  competition  of  this  series.</div>

SPRINGFIELD,  IL  (April  26,  2021)  –  The  UIS  Speech  and  Debate  Team  completed  the  20-21  season  by  participating  in  the  Novice  No  More  Tournament  hosted  by  Northeastern  State  University  and  Liberty  University.  Schools  from  all  corners  of  the  nation  took  part  in  this  end-of-season  celebration  tournament  for  novice  competitors.</div>
