What  a  wonderful  weekend  of  making  memories  as  we  welcomed  back  to  campus  the  Class  of  2020.  Many  thanks  to  Joan  Sestak  and  James  Koeppe  for  creating  a  safe  and  special  commencement  experience  in  Sangamon  Auditorium,  and  it  was  so  nice  to  see  Chancellor  Emeritus  Susan  Koch. Dear  Colleagues  –&nbsp;&nbsp;



It  was  exciting  to  see  our  campus  buzzing  with  prospective  students  and  families  during  last  week’s  Open  House.  We’re  launching  into  the  final  eight  weeks  of  the  semester  with  the  start  of  Fall  Accelerated  Courses  today,  and  our  Admission  team  has  been  working  nonstop  to  recruit  now  that  it  is  college  application  season.

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">WHAT:  Dr.  Ngozi  Ezike,  director  of  the  Illinois  Department  of  Public  Health,  will  explore  health  equity,  not  only  in  definition,  but  also  how  equity  looks  in  practice.  She  will  also  highlight  the  state’s  health  improvement  plan  to  identify  key  issues  and  action  steps  to  address  health  equity  in  Illinois  as  well  as  discuss  the  impacts  of  COVID-19  related  to  health  care  access,  health  disparities  and  building  trust  in  Illinois  communities.</div>
