Announcements: Leadership lived workshops Old Business: a. Two AP representatives were selected during a meeting of the Chairs of each respective campus Academic Professional Advisory Committee from a pool containing one candidate from each campus and were forwarded on to the Board of Trustees. New Business Everyone was reminded of the upcoming Campus wide forum on April 23 at 3:30 in the Studio Theater. An announcement was made that the executive committee would be attending the summer UPPAC meeting at the home of President Easter on July 10, 2014 beginning at 1pm. The upcoming election of new members to APAC was discussed. Greg made a motion to review the current bylaws to make sure they comply with UPPAC calendar and bring any proposed changes to the May meeting. Mae seconded and all approved. Teresa said she would ask Donna Haynes about any committee openings that will be available for APs in 2014/15. Committee Updates Campus Senate Teresa Raymond was unable to attend the APAC meeting. On March 28 Teresa attended the Campus Senate in Raymonds place so she presented information from this meeting. Senate elections will end on April 2. Provost Pardie discussed the Governors budget proposal for the upcoming year. She thanked those working on new academic program proposals as that is one way UIS is able to grow enrollment. SGA was still trying to schedule a meeting with Springfield Mass Transit District. The SGA election process has started. Chair Fisher presented the USC meeting report and mentioned that President Easter, Chancellor Wise and the Chair of the BOT are looking at leadership opportunities for potential university leaders across the campus. There will be a short BOT meeting on May 14 allowing time for board members to meet with legislators at the Capital. The committee on received nine nominations for faculty to serve as UIS representatives on the UI Presidential search committee. Four candidates were selected by the Committee to put forward. The Library Program Review committee presented its findings. Under Old Business the Resolution 43-21 Proposed Schedule for Faculty Advisory Committee Elections was passed after the second reading with two minor changes. Under New Business the Resolution 43-23 Proposed Amendment to the UIS Campus Senate Bylaws-Changes to the Membership of the Graduate and Undergraduate Councils to make the Registrar or hi/her representative an ex-officio member of both councils had a first reading. Also having a first reading was Proposed Amendment to the UIS Campus Senate Bylaws-Changes to the Membership of the Committee on Assessment of Student ý to change the ex-officio membership. APAC website Clay Bellot (no comments) CSAC Toni reported that the Staff Auction has been cancelled and CSAC is looking at other fundraiser options such as trivia nights. Federal work study students (75) were given one days notice that their funding was cut.
