Protect yourself and others by getting your flu shot this year! UIS Health Services and the Sangamon County Department of Public Health are offering flu shots to the UIS community from 9 a.m.-noon on Thursday, Oct. 31 in the PAC 160 Community Room (formerly PAC C/D).

Please ensure you bring your health insurance card with you when arriving. Flu shots are free if in network with your insurance. All health insurance is accepted for state workers and retirees. Please note: If you have Healthlink non-state health insurance, this type of insurance is not accepted.

For individuals without insurance or with insurance that is not accepted, the cost to receive a flu shot is $42. Those who are 65 years and older have the option of receiving the high-dose influenza vaccination for $100.

Please ensure you bring your health insurance card with you when arriving. Flu shots are free to Medicare B and Medicaid recipients. Accepted insurance plans include Blue Cross, Aetna, Humana, Coventry, Cigna, Molina, Health Alliance, and United Healthcare (State Retirees Only).

For individuals without insurance or with insurance that is not accepted, the cost to receive a flu shot is $40. Those who are 65 years and older have the option of receiving the high-dose influenza vaccination for $70.

Come out and enjoy the 9^th Annual Prairie Stars 5K with a flat, easy run/walk through the beautiful campus at UIS! Grab a friend and/or your dog to get an awesome dri fit t-shirt, win a door prize, and more!

Register by September 22nd. Registration increases September 23rd. Awards will be given to the overall division winners and the top 3 in each age category of each division. New this year - we added a non-binary division!

Cost is $10.00 for UIS students and $20.00 for everyone else.
