Join us at the Health & Wellness Fair on Tuesday, April 22!

Stop at the check-in table when you arrive to pick up your passport and Shake This Eat That ticket. Once you collect 6 stamps on your passport (by visiting tables), you can enter into a door prize of their choice along with our blanket giveaway.

We will also have a blood drive taking place in parking lot J.

HR & Campus Rec are teaming up to offer pickleball at TRAC!

Oct. 3 Beginner Clinic presented by Springfield Pickleball Club.
- Please email campusrec@uis.edu to secure a spot for the clinic.
Oct. 10 Courts open for beginner, intermediate and advanced play
Oct. 17 Courts open for beginner, intermediate and advanced play

Paddles and balls provided.
Locker-rooms are available. Shorts, t-shirts & gym shoes.
For UIS Faculty & Staff Only. No charge for these three sessions.

Please join the campus community at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6, in Founders Residence Hall as we reveal the new, state-of-the-art UIS Esports Arena with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

��ý UIS Esports

Esports is a rapidly growing sport that is extremely popular for collegiate and high school-aged students. Located in a newly renovated space in Founders Residence Hall, the UIS Esports Arena will feature 13 computers that were built to meet the needs of competitive gaming. The arena also features a PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Nintendo Switch. These tools will be used for both competitive gaming and recreational play.

The competitive team will be comprised of 15-25 UIS students who will play in the National Esports Collegiate Conference (NECC). Academically, the addition of esports at UIS is expected to help grow the skills of students interested in computer science and visual art degrees.

The arena was made possible thanks to the generous financial support of the Springfield-based M.G. Nelson Family Foundation. The foundation’s support was pivotal in ensuring that UIS was able to outfit the arena with the latest technology and provide for future upgrades and needs
