        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  Illinois  Springfield  softball  team  picked  up  a  pair  of  wins  against  Missouri-St.  Louis  on  Friday,  taking  the  first  game  3-2  and  then  prevailing  6-4  in  nine  innings.  UIS  improves  to  21-12  overall  and  9-5  in  GLVC  play,  while  UMSL  drops  to  11-16  overall  and  4-8  in  the  conference.</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  UIS  baseball  team  secured  two  convincing  victories  over  the  Lincoln  Blue  Tigers  on  Friday,  winning  24-8  in  a  run-rule  shortened  seven-inning  game  and  13-6  in  the  second  contest,  which  was  scheduled  for  seven  innings.  UIS  improved  to  14-10  overall  and  8-5  in  GLVC  play,  while  Lincoln  fell  to  2-24  overall  and  0-10  in  the  conference.</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  University  of  Illinois  Springfield  baseball  team  returns  home  this  weekend  for  a  Great  Lakes  Valley  Conference  series  against  Lincoln  (Mo.),  a  newcomer  to  the  GLVC  this  season.  The  teams  will  play  a  doubleheader  starting  at  1:00  p.m.  on  Friday,  followed  by  another  doubleheader  beginning  at  noon  on  Saturday.

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  UIS  softball  team  will  continue  Great  Lakes  Valley  Conference  action  this  weekend  with  a  pair  of  doubleheaders.  The  Prairie  Stars  will  travel  to  St.  Louis  to  take  on  Missouri-St.  Louis  on  Friday  afternoon  before  heading  to  Jefferson  City,  Mo.,  on  Sunday  for  a  pair  of  games  against  Lincoln.
