What  was  your  overall  UIS  experience  like?



My  time  at  UIS  was  a  life  changing  experience  for  me.  My  two  degrees  from  UIS  gave  me  a  foundation  of  knowledge  in  economic  theory  and  policy,  political  science,  and  the  legislative  process.</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">Please  be  advised  that  next&nbsp;Wednesday,  January  8,  Parking  Lots  C-North,  C-South,  D,  E  and  the  PAC  Teardrop&nbsp;will  be  closed  to  campus  for  parking  due  to  the  Illinois  House  of  Representatives  Inauguration  ceremony.



SMTD  bus  service  will  be  reduced  to  service  only  at  the  bus  shelter  located  next  to  Founders  Residence  Hall  at  Eliza  Farnham  and  Vachel  Lindsay  Drive  from  6:00  am  to  4:00  pm&nbsp;Wednesday,  January  8,  2025.</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  UIS  women's  basketball  team  celebrated  its  first  win  of  the  season  and  a  milestone  first  victory  at  UIS  for  head  coach  Olivia  Lett,  defeating  Saint  Ambrose  72-44  at  TRAC. 

Coach  Lett  reflected  on  the  game:  "I  thought  we  had  some  really  good  decision-making  tonight.  Our  defensive  intensity  was  strong,  and  we  did  a  great  job  meeting  them  at  half  court.  Our  guards  set  the  tone  with  their  energy."</div>
