        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  UIS  women's  basketball  team  showed  grit  but  fell  short  in  a  tightly  contested  74-68  loss  to  William  Jewell  College  in  Monday  night's  Great  Lakes  Valley  Conference  (GLVC)  clash  at  the  Mabee  Center.</div>

5:30  p.m.  -  Women's  Basketball  at  William  Jewell
UIS  (0-5,  0-1  GLVC)  goes  to  Liberty,  Mo.,  in  the  Kansas  City  area  to  play  the  William  Jewell  Cardinals  (1-4,  0-0  GLVC)  on  Monday  night.  The  Prairie  Stars  trail  in  the  close  9-8  all-time  series  between  the  teams.  William  Jewell  recently  suffered  an  80-62  loss  to  non-conference  opponent  Wayne  State.

Dear  Students,  Faculty  and  Staff,



As  the  holiday  season  draws  near,  I’m  reminded  of  the  many  things  that  make  UIS  so  special—our  traditions,  our  stories  and  our  incredible  community.



I  recently  had  the  opportunity  to  join  students  from  the  UIS  Baking  Club  to  decorate  cookies  and  share  holiday  traditions.  Together,  we  reflected  on  the  unique  stories  that  unite  us  as  Prairie  Stars.  These  moments  remind  me  that  while  our  individual  journeys  may  differ,  our  shared  hopes  and  values  bring  us  together  as  one  community.</div>
