        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  Illinois  Springfield  men's  basketball  team  dropped  a  close  contest  to  Missouri-St.  Louis  on  Thursday  night,  falling  74-66  in  the GLVC  matchup.  The  Prairie  Stars  now  stand  at  10-10  overall  and  5-7  in  conference  play,  while  UMSL  improves  to  10-9  overall  and  8-4  in  the  GLVC.</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">Building  Service  Foreman  John  "Jack"  Stege  has  been  named  the&nbsp;2024  Employee  of  the  Year&nbsp;at  the&nbsp;University  of  Illinois  Springfield.  He  was  honored  during  a  reception  on  Jan.  30,  2025,  in  the  UIS  Student  Union.



Before  announcing  the  winner,  UIS  Chancellor&nbsp;Janet  Gooch&nbsp;thanked  the  eleven  Employees  of  the  Month  who  were  nominated  for  the  award.



Stege,  who  was  the  April  2024  Employee  of  the  Month,  is  very  enthusiastic  about  doing  a  great  job.</div>
