        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  UIS volleyball  team  was  able  to  win  its  GLVC  opener  on  Friday  night  against  Missouri  S&amp;T  in  a  five-set  affair.  With  the  win,  UIS  improves  to  9-3  overall  with  a  1-0  record  in  the  GLVC.  Missouri  S&amp;T  falls  to  2-9  on  the  season  and  0-1  in  conference  play.

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">In  a  GLVC  matchup  at  Kiwanis  Stadium  on  Friday  night,  the  UIS  men's  soccer  team  edged  Southwest  Baptist  1-0,  marking  their  second  consecutive  Homecoming  win  against  the  Bearcats.  The  victory  extends  UIS'  unbeaten  conference  run  to  an  impressive  22  games  (16-0-6).  The  win  improves  UIS  to  3-2-1  overall  and  3-0-1  in  GLVC  play,  while  the  Bearcats  fall  to  2-3-3  overall  and  1-2-1  in  the  conference.  UIS  has  now  defeated  the  Bearcats  in  their  Homecoming  match  in  consecutive  seasons.</div>

On  Friday  night,  the  Prairie  Stars  play  Southwest  Baptist  at  5:00  p.m.  for  their  annual  Homecoming  game.  Sunday  afternoon,  UIS  takes  on  Rockhurst  at  12:00  p.m.
