TEDx UofISpringfield seeks nominations for Springfield-area speakers
TEDx UofISpringfield is seeking nominations for Springfield-area speakers for their second annual event on March 5, 2022. The deadline to submit a speaker application is Nov. 6 at 11:59 p.m.
TEDxUofISpringfield is a student-run event. Organizers are looking for speakers ranging in backgrounds, experience and interests. Selected speakers will be provided with a speaking mentor to help them prepare their talk and presentation for the big day when they speak live.
UIS Offering Accelerated Courses Over Holiday Break
The University of Illinois Springfield is giving students a chance to speed up their academic progress over the holidays.
UIS will offer 18 different “accelerated” courses for academic credit. The classes run for a five-week period from December 13th through January 15th. Classes will be offered in multiple subjects, including communications, computer science, economics, history, public administration, and more.
