Can  you  tell  us  a  bit  about  your  background  and  what  inspired  you  to  pursue  your  current  career  path?



My  mother  was  a  nurse  and  I  admired  her  desire  to  help  others.  I,  too,  have  that  same  desire  and  I  am  fortunate  to  live  in  a  healthcare  community  that  has  a  variety  of  different  focuses  and  specialties  that  allows  professional  growth  opportunities.</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">UIS  junior  distance  runner  Madelyn  Miller  has  officially  qualified  for  the  NCAA  Division  II  Indoor  Track  &amp;  Field  Championships,  set  to  take  place  March  13-15  at  the  Fall  Creek  Pavilion  at  the  Indiana  State  Fairgrounds  in  Indianapolis.  Miller  is  one  of  19  athletes  competing  in  the  women's  5,000-meter  run,  marking  her  first-ever  appearance  at  a  national  championship.</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  Illinois  Springfield  men's  golf  team  wrapped  up  competition  at  the  Las  Vegas  Desert  Classic  on  Tuesday,  finishing  20th  with  a  total  score  of  922  (+58)  after  three  rounds  of  play  at  Boulder  Creek  Golf  Club.

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">Today  in  court,  Cook  County  Judge  Alfredo  Maldonado,  with  agreement  from  the  Cook  County  State’s  Attorney's  Office,  vacated  the  wrongful  murder  conviction  of  Illinois  Innocence  Project  (IIP)  client  Jerry  Herrington,  dismissing  all  charges  and  fully  exonerating  him.  IIP  is  based  at  the  University  of  Illinois  Springfield.</div>
