Lan Dong is the Louise Hartman Schewe and Karl Schewe Professor in Liberal Arts and Sciences. She served as Chair of the Department English and Modern Languages (2017-2019), Interim Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (2021-2022), and Interim Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (2022-2023). She was the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Faculty Fellow in 2015 and worked on faculty development initiatives, faculty and staff handbooks, student petitions, and international student advising. She was a Center for Online 杨贵妃传媒, Research, and Service Faculty Fellow from 2020 to 2022 and conducted research on accessibility, inclusive pedagogy, and open educational resources.
