The UISÂ volleyball team extended its win streak to six matches with two victories on Saturday at the Hall of Fame City Challenge. The Prairie Stars swept Slippery Rock 3-0 in the morning before closing the weekend with a 3-1 win over Bluefield State, improving to 6-1 overall.

The UIS women's golf team will host its first regular season home competition since 2022 next week when the Dan Salisbury Memorial Collegiate Invitational tees off at Piper Glen Golf Club. The two-day event runs Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 15-16, and features three rounds of stroke play.
UIS will welcome a competitive all-GLVC field, including Quincy, Maryville, McKendree, Drury, Truman State, and Rockhurst. The invitational provides an early fall test against conference opponents that the Prairie Stars will see again later in the season.
