The Office of Student Life provides a variety of development opportunities throughout the year, including the Leadership Summit, RSO Officer training, Leadership workshops, and more! 

College graduates must demonstrate essential leadership competencies in order to be successful in their time after UIS. In order to promote this development, Student Life, along with many campus partners offer leadership opportunities throughout the academic year!

What is Late Nite?

Late Nite is a student led initiative led by the Student Activities Committee and supported by Student Affairs. There are 3 Late Nite events each semester. Each Late Nite is typically based around a theme and will have a variety events going on concurrently.

Student Life serves as a resource for all students, enabling them to engage in, contribute to, and benefit from this community. Student Life initiates programs and activities that enhance the student experience and further the university’s mission of providing an intellectually rich, collaborative, and intimate learning environment for students, faculty, and staff, while serving local, regional, state, national, and international communities.
