Each year we receive nominations highlighting members of our campus community who consistently go above and beyond their duties and truly exemplify excellence

CARE Award
Chancellor’s Award for Recognizing Excellence in Civil Service (CARE in Civil Service)
This award, established jointly by the chancellor and the Civil Service Advisory Council, will serve to recognize the exceptional work of all civil service employees and will honor one employee each year.
Meetings
The Civil Service Advisory Council meets on the 1st Wednesday of each month. The Council year is July through June.

Membership
Any status civil service employee may circulate a petition to request to be on the ballot for the Civil Service Advisory Council. Only civil service employees may vote in the election to choose council members. Terms of office are two years. There is no term limit. Eight representatives are elected in even years and seven are elected in odd years.
