Cards & Conversations is a recurring program hosted by the Men of Color Initiative that centers the experiences, leadership, and voices of men of color. Open to all students, this space blends casual connection with meaningful dialogue through games like spades, dominoes, and card games—paired with authentic conversations about identity, community, and personal growth. Whether you're looking to unwind, build relationships, or engage in real talk, all are welcome to pull up a chair and join the conversation. Open to all UIS students and faculty.

Three Minute Hug Film Screening

As part of Hispanic/Latinx/e Heritage Month, the Diversity Centers and The Immigration Project are co-hosting a community film screening and discussion of Three Minute Hug. This short documentary highlights the powerful reunions of families divided by the U.S.–Mexico border, sparking conversation about migration, belonging, and community.

Alternative Prom 2025

Join us for our alternative and inclusionary prom event where everyone is encouraged to express themselves freely and authentically. On this special day is all about free to wear whatever makes you feel confident and happy, whether it's traditional prom attire, a bold costume, or your normal everday attire. This event is a judgment-free zone where everyone is welcome to be themselves and have a great time.
