The High Impact Practices (HIPs) Subcommittee invites all UIS faculty and staff to attend a campus-wide presentation titled "Ensuring High Impact Practices Across Campus" from 10-11:45 a.m. in the Student Union Ballroom on Tuesday, August 5th, by Dr. Ashley Finley, Vice President of Research and Senior Advisor to the President at the American Association of Colleges and Universities (AAC&U).

We are excited to announce the next installment of the monthly Employee Development Series: Performance Management. This session will be presented by Drew Schlosser, Assistant Vice Chancellor of Human Resources. Topics discussed will include, but are not limited to, the guiding principles of performance management, processes available for various groups on campus, tips for supervisors, and Do’s/Don’ts from a Legal Perspective.

CSAC Meeting - Wednesday, July 9
The next Civil Service Advisory Council meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 9th at 10 a.m. The meeting will be held in Brookens 141A for anyone who wishes to attend. We will also stream the meeting via Zoom at the link below. The Zoom meeting will not be monitored, so anyone wishing to interact should plan on attending in person. All civil service employees are welcome to attend.
Employee Development Series: Leaves
We are thrilled to introduce the August installment of the Employee Development Series: Leaves of Absence. This session will be presented by Heather Moore from the Office of Human Resources. Get ready to take a comprehensive dive into Leave Types/Benefits, how/when to apply for a Leave of Absence with HR, and how/when to report Leave in our Timekeeping Systems. With this session, we aim to demystify Leaves of Absence and promote a deeper understanding among our campus community.
