APPLICATION WINDOW CLOSES 2/28: Voluntary Separation Plan (UIS-VSP)

As part of the university’s NorthStar strategic visioning initiative, the University is announcing a Voluntary Separation Plan (UIS-VSP) available for all employees who have an appointment greater than 50% FTE and who have not provided a written notice of resignation or intent to retire from UIS prior to the Plan Effective Date.

Message from President Killeen: Gov. Pritzker’s proposed budget would increase U of I System appropriation

The state budget proposed today by Gov. JB Pritzker would provide a 2.7 percent increase in state-appropriated general operating funds for the University of Illinois System, increasing the system’s general funds appropriation to $730.1 million for the coming fiscal year. The proposal represents a continuation of the vital reinvestment our state and Gov. Pritzker have made in recent years in public higher education.

UIS Public Affairs Center Infrastructure Renovation Project Updates

As part of the necessary plumbing infrastructure renovation project scheduled to begin this summer in the Public Affairs Center, Facilities & Services is working in collaboration with multiple campus partners to ensure a smooth transition process in operations. From June 2025 to September 2026, several units currently located in the PAC will temporarily pause or relocate their operations to other campus spaces due to the drilling and pipe excavation activities.

Parking Lot J Closure - Fri., February 21

Please be aware that this Friday, February 21, Parking Lot J will be closed to campus for parking due to an event being held at the Student Union.

On this date, please make sure to plan accordingly and utilize alternate parking lots authorized by your parking hang tag.
