Internships and Professional Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½

The Office of Internships and Professional Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ consists of two programs: Internship and Service-Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½.  These programs provide an opportunity for students to pursue experiential and active learning activities away from campus. They may also earn ECCE Engagement credits and fulfill degree program requirements.

Office Of Engaged Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½

The Office of Engaged Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ facilitates and promotes experiential learning opportunities for students outside of traditional classroom settings. We achieve this through internships, study-away programs, projects, prior learning assessments, and service-learning opportunities. We assist students in finding relevant opportunities, provide resources and support for these experiences, coordinate with faculty and external partners, and help students reflect on and integrate their learning into their academic and career goals.

UIS awarded a state grant to increase paid internship opportunities for students

The University of Illinois Springfield’s Office of Engaged Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ has been awarded a nearly $45,000 Illinois Cooperative Work Study Program grant to increase the number of paid internship opportunities available to students completing academic internships through the UIS Internships and Prior Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ Program.
