        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  Illinois  Springfield  women's  cross  country  team  raced  at  the  NCAA  DII  Midwest  Regional  Championship  on  Saturday,  Nov.  9,  at  the  Lewis  Cross  Country  Course  in  Romeoville,  Ill.  The  Prairie  Stars  finished  13th  in a  tough  field  of  competition,  including  several  top-10  nationally  ranked  programs  and  regional  powerhouses.

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  University  of  Illinois  Springfield  men's  cross  country  team  delivered  a  strong  performance  at  the  2024  NCAA  Midwest  Regional  Championship  in  Romeoville,  Ill.,  securing  a  9th-place  finish.  This  result  extends  the  team's  streak  of  top-10  finishes  in  every  regional  meet  since  2018,  underscoring  the  program's  consistent  strength  in  the  Midwest  region.</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  UIS  men's  basketball  team  was  able  to  pick  up  their  first  victory  of  the  2024-25  season  on  Saturday  night  at  TRAC  against  Roosevelt  University.  The  Prairie  Stars  start  the  season  1-0  while  Roosevelt  drops  to  0-1.  UIS  extends  its  streak  to  23  consecutive  home-opener  victories.</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">In  a  challenging  GLVC  quarterfinal  match,  the  UIS  women's  soccer  team  fell  to  McKendree  University  with  a  3-1  scoreline  on  Sunday.  The  Prairie  Stars,  entering  the  match  as  the  No.  6  seed,  competed  admirably  but  were  overcome  by  McKendree's  persistent  offense.
After  the  Prairie  Stars'  quarterfinal  loss,  Head  Coach  Scott  Myers  expressed  pride  in  the  team's  progress  and  the  impact  of  the  senior  class.</div>

        <div  class="newsletter-txt">The  UIS  men's  soccer  team  fought  to  the  end  in  the  GLVC  quarterfinals  but  ultimately  fell  3-2  in  overtime  to  Maryville  on  Sunday.  In  a  tightly  contested  match,  the  Prairie  Stars  equalized  twice,  only  to  have  the  game  decided  by  a  sudden  victory  goal  from  the  Saints.</div>
