You must fill out a Non-Degree Declaration Form to continue as a Non-Degree Seeking Student or you must apply for a degree program.

Unfortunately, there isn't a straightforward answer to this. It depends on the country and the type of degree that was earned. Please reference the country where the degree was earned in the Supporting Document Requirement section. If you have additional questions, please reach out to admissions.

UIS offers 49 bachelor’s degrees, so we can help you continue your education without missing a beat. In many cases, UIS has a degree that aligns with your area of study. If there’s not an exact equivalent, we’ll work with you to find a degree that matches your interests and goals and maximizes your college credits and experience. You will earn a University of Illinois degree, joining more than 740,000 living alumni across the globe, including teachers, entrepreneurs, artists, researchers, business leaders, and Nobel Prize winners.

Our Admission team will work closely with you to apply as many of your credits as possible toward a UIS degree. Transfer work must be similar in nature, level, and content to courses at UIS. Credit for transfer courses is either applied as direct equivalents or applied to a degree in a manner determined by the department and college.
