Study Away Application Study Abroad programs, also known as Global Experience programs, can be taken during any semester at UIS.  Students wishing to study abroad must complete a Global Experience Application with The Office of International Programs. The Office of International Programs will help guide the student through the pre-approval process and determine if the program can be used for educational credit at UIS. Once the program has been approved, the student may apply for financial assistance to assist with the cost of the program. 12-01-2025
