Tough times are again here for Illinois鈥 child welfare agency. But an operation at the University of Illinois Springfield is trying to help. Students can go through a simulation lab that鈥檚 part of a child advocacy studies program run by Betsy Goulet, who enlists role players. 鈥淲e work with the standardized patients at SIU School of Medicine. We don鈥檛 use scripts, but they respond in character to what is said. |
