Seeking proposals for Chester Fund projects

It is time to collect ideas for project proposals for the Chester Fund. This is an endowed fund provided to the University of Illinois to be used for the purchase of items or commodities that will add to the attractiveness of the University to visitors, such as rare books, works of art and museum items/pieces. Successfully funded prior projects at UIS include: the welcome mural in Enrollment Management; artwork for the new Library Commons; interior and external artwork for the Student Union; and the Lincoln statue. |

The UIS women's tennis team will take on Drury University at home on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the Springfield Racquet and Fitness Club in its final non-conference match of the season before opening the GLVC East slate against Missouri-St. Louis on April 11. Illinois Springfield (0-6) The Prairie Stars fell 5-2 to Purdue Northwest on March 14, with Carmen Llopis Fabra earning a dominant 6-1, 6-0 win in singles and Ema Norma Bordean rallying for a 3-6, 6-2, 10-7 comeback victory. |
