Kudos Award

The purpose of the Kudos Award is to recognize individuals for excellence as they 鈥済o the extra mile鈥� to help their colleagues鈥攚hether that鈥檚 stepping in to help in a pinch or contributing time and effort to tasks outside their regular job duties.  at any time!

Eligibility

  • Anyone in Student Affairs can submit a nomination.
  • All members of the UIS community are eligible to receive the award.

How it Works

  • Nominations can be submitted at any time鈥攖here are no deadlines.
  • The Kudos Club reviews nominations and selects recipients on a rolling basis throughout the year.
  • There鈥檚 no limit to how many individuals can be recognized.

Recognition

  • Each recipient will receive a digital 鈥淜udos to You鈥� card.
  • Awardees will also be recognized in the monthly Student Affairs Newsletter.

Annual Awards

Student Affairs Award for Excellence

The recipient of this award is selected by the Kudos Club and recognizes an individual who has demonstrated commitment to the mission and values of the division by supporting students and the UIS community through leadership development, self-awareness, creating connections and an inclusive environment.

Students First Award

This award recognizes a Student Affairs staff member who has demonstrated exceptional service to students. This individual has gone above and beyond their job expectations and contributed greatly to overall work of the Division of Student Affairs and the University of Illinois Springfield.

Quality Service Award

This award recognizes an individual who always demonstrates professionalism by serving the needs of the University community. This individual takes the extra step to ensure that all students/clients feel important and welcome, and those expectations are not only met, but exceeded.

New Student Affairs Member Award

The New Student Affairs Member Award is presented to a Student Affairs employee who has been employed for less than three years in the Student Affairs profession. This individual supports the mission of the division and the university through their loyalty, integrity, leadership and service.

Kindness & Civility Award

The Kindness Award honors a person 鈥� or persons who exemplify the traits of generosity, teamwork, compassion, and ethics and who spread unconditional, unwavering, and selfless kindness among the UIS community.
