UIS and the Center for State Policy and Leadership (CSPL) have been invited to partner in the Inaugural Edgar Fellows Capitol Connections Day.
The inaugural Capitol Connections Day for undergraduate college students interested in careers in public service will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, April 7, 2025, with morning sessions at the Illinois State Capitol and lunch and afternoon sessions at the Governor’s Mansion. An optional tour of the Executive Mansion may be available at the end of the day.
Join CSPL and the Illinois Innovation Network for a Social Innovation Workshop at the UIS Student Union Ballroom and on Zoom! Learn design thinking principles that will help prepare a competitive application for up to $100,000 in IIN Social Innovation and Impact seed grant funding.
Join the UIS Center for State Policy & Leadership and the School of Politics and International Affairs for a panel discussion on foreign affairs in the 2024 U.S. elections and beyond. Dr. AJ Simmons will moderate a discussion with panelists Dr. Brandon Bolte, Dr. Adriana Crocker, Dr. Isabel Skinner, and Dr. Ali Nizamuddin. to reserve your spot! The Zoom link will be provided ahead of the event.
WHAT: The University of Illinois Springfield’s Center for State Policy and Leadership will host a Constitution Day panel discussion focusing on issues related to the 2024 election, such as the Electoral College, voter registration and the role of the media. The event is free and open to the public.
