UIS Softball Erupts for 27 Runs in Doubleheader Sweep of Quincy

The llinois Springfield softball team swept the Quincy Hawks in dominant fashion Sunday. The Prairie Stars (12-9, 2-2 GLVC) erupted for a 20-0 run-rule victory in five innings in game one, then rallied late to take the second game, 7-5.

UIS Women’s Golf Heads to Florida for Emerald Coast Classic

The UIS women's golf team will begin its 2025 season at the Emerald Coast Classic in Destin, Florida, hosted by Missouri-St. Louis at Sandestin Baytowne Golf Club.
The three-day event features an 18-hole round each day from Sunday through Tuesday. This tournament marks the first of four regular-season competitions for the Prairie Stars between March and mid-April.
UIS will compete with a lineup of Elaine Grant, Sara Prieto, Lia Rody, Ira Joshi, and Isabelle Segal.

Prairie Stars and Flyers Split Saturday Twinbill

The UIS baseball team opened Saturday's doubleheader with a thrilling 4-3 comeback victory over Lewis, but the Flyers responded in the second game, holding off a late UIS rally for an 8-6 win. The teams will meet again Sunday at noon to decide the series.

Prairie Stars Drop GLVC-Opening Doubleheader at Truman State

The Illinois Springfield softball team opened GLVC play with a pair of losses to Truman State on Friday, falling 6-1 in game one and 9-3 in game two at Truman Softball Park.
