Prairie Stars Drop Two at Lewis

The UIS softball team dropped both games of its final regular-season doubleheader at Lewis, falling 4-3 in 11 innings in game one and 5-0 in game two. The Prairie Stars finish the regular season with a 29-18 overall record and a 17-11 mark in GLVC play. It is the first time UIS has been swept in a conference doubleheader since the GLVC opener against Truman State on March 7.

UIS Women’s Tennis Drops Final Matches, Celebrates Senior Day

The Illinois Springfield women's tennis team closed out the regular season with a pair of close losses to tough GLVC opponents over the weekend. The Prairie Stars finished the season with a 1-11 overall record and a 1-4 mark in conference play.
Prior to the match on Saturday, the team honored its seniors — Carmen Llopis Fabra, Kamila Kalinowska, and Piper Schrepferman — with a pre-match recognition ceremony.

The Illinois Springfield men's tennis team dropped its final two matches of the regular season, falling to No. 17 Indianapolis and McKendree at home. The Prairie Stars finished the year with an 0-12 overall record and 0-5 mark in GLVC play.

UIS Softball Completes Sweep of Upper Iowa on Saturday Afternoon

The UIS softball team traveled to Fayette, Iowa, on Saturday, sweeping Upper Iowa with victories of 6-1 and 7-4 to improve to 29-16 overall and 17-9 in GLVC play. With the wins, UIS secured a spot in the GLVC tournament.
