The UIS softball team has been included among the 10 programs under consideration in the first release of the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Rankings, published Wednesday on NCAA.com. This initial release presents teams in alphabetical order, with ranked listings to follow in subsequent editions. The Prairie Stars hold a 25-16 overall record and are 25-14 in regional play.

The UIS baseball team has adjusted its upcoming home series against Rockhurst. Originally scheduled for Thursday through Saturday, the series will now feature 12:00 p.m. doubleheaders on Thursday and Friday at the UIS Baseball Field. At the conclusion of Friday's second game, UIS will honor its senior student-athletes in a special postgame ceremony. A select group of UIS women's distance runners will compete this week at the Bryan Clay Invitational, one of the nation's premier collegiate meets, hosted by Azusa Pacific. Entries The Prairie Stars will send three athletes to compete in the 10,000 and 5,000-meter events, aiming to make the most of the meet's fast fields.
