Research Title: AI and IoT curriculum Development for K-12
Research Abstract:
A few states (e.g., Maryland, Georgia, and Florida) have begun integrating
artificial intelligence (AI) into K-12 education, while others continue to
rely on informal learning spaces to foster AI literacy. This project aims to
design a curriculum for middle and high school students that bridges AI with
physical computing through the use of Internet of Things (IoT) devices. The
curriculum integrates AI and microelectronics education by training computer
vision models and deploying them on IoT devices in engaging, hands-on
applications such as autonomous vehicles.
