UIS to celebrate commencement during three ceremonies on May 9 and 10

The University of Illinois Springfield will hold its 54th annual commencement during three ceremonies in the UIS Performing Arts Center’s Sangamon Auditorium on Friday, May 9 and Saturday, May 10. A total of 1,071 students will participate in the ceremony out of the 1,587 students who are eligible to graduate. |
Grant Leads UIS Women's Golf to Fourth in Stroke Play, Earns All-GLVC Honors

The UIS women's golf team competed in stroke play at the GLVC Championship at Oakwood Country Club in Coal Valley, Ill., on Friday and Saturday. The Prairie Stars started strong and remained among the top four teams after 54 holes, securing a spot in Sunday's medal/match play semifinals. The Prairie Stars were led by All-GLVC athlete Elaine Grant, who was fourth overall.

UIS Men’s Tennis Season Comes to an End with Two Weekend Losses

The Illinois Springfield men's tennis team dropped its final two matches of the regular season, falling to No. 17 Indianapolis and McKendree at home. The Prairie Stars finished the year with an 0-12 overall record and 0-5 mark in GLVC play.
